The Stan Hacking Concert Band

conducted by

Barry Parsons

We are a local community band of enthusiastic amateur and semi-professional musicians who perform concerts in and around the Exeter area.

Our repertoire includes a wide variety of music styles including military marches, overtures, musicals, movie themes, world music and contemporary compositions.

The Band was founded primarily to raise money for charity and as a result of regular concerts over the years has raised over £345,000 for various good causes (usually local charities, or a national charity with a local connection).

See our “Concerts” page for details of upcoming concerts and click here to sign up to receive news about all our events.

Rehearsals resume!

After a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are delighted to report that indoor rehearsals at Clyst St Mary Village Hall resumed in September 2021.

We do not currently have any concerts scheduled but as soon as we do we will advertise the new dates here.

If you would like us to perform at your charity event, please contact us to check availability and charges via the contact details below.

From time to time we have vacancies on various instruments. Currently, there are no vacancies within the band, but if you are a woodwind or brass musician of at least Grade 5 standard and are interested in joining the band, please contact the Musical Director, Barry Parsons who will gladly add you to our waiting-list.
